Marjan Day Program Announced: Free Buses, Jazz Music, Goulash and Dancing

Because who wouldn’t want to celebrate the green lungs of Split?

On the occasion of Marjan Day, the City of Split, in cooperation with the company Promet, has provided free transportation for citizens on the route between Prima City – Forest Park Marjan on Sunday, May 13, 2018. 

From 8:00 to 16:00, two buses will travel every 20 minutes from Prima to Marjan, and in the opposite direction from 8:20 to 16:20.

Here’s this year’s program:

9.30 – 14.30 – Diabetic Society Split: Walking for Health – From Jarbola to Jarbola – First Peak: sugar measurements, blood pressure for citizens

10.00 – Botanical Garden – open to citizens, education with PMF students, Department of Biology

10.00 – The program starts on the First Peak at 10.00 at the Amphitheater. The program will open with complimentary words of the Director of PŠ Marjan and representatives of the City of Split

10.15 – 12.00 – Program for children / young people – Dance group ‘Dance Box’, dance group ‘Talent M’, Soloists of the Children’s Choir ‘Srdelice’

10.30 – 11.30 – Telegrin (highest peak) – Action of Green Dalmatia and Pitagora Gymnasium – bird cage cleanup with a lecture on biodiversity 

10.30 – Lubinski Porat, Bene, Institute – Ecological and cultural manifestation ‘Mora and Marjan’ for Marjan Day – Diving Club Delfin and Mornar and Eco Association Bios

10.30 – Lubinski porat – Exhibition of the works by the students of the Ravne Njive Elementary School

11.00 – Action to clean underwater – Lubinski porat – Bene – Institut

14.00 – Split ‘Brujetada’ for Participants – Bene

11.00 – 13.00 – (Prva Voda) First Water – Adventure tourism and HGK -free organized rides on kayaks and SPUs for citizens – Given2 Fly Adventures, Iris Adventures, Red Adventures, Redono

12.00 – First Peak – Distribution of free ‘Marjan goulash’ to visitors, prepared by SKMER chefs

12.00 – 14.00 – Amphitheater: Sara & Jappa for Marjan Springtime Concert.
