Pričigin is the Split festival of storytelling. The project is designed as an interactive workshop where participants can meet professional writers and amateurs.
Pričigin, the Split festival of storytelling, will take place this year from March 21 to 25. As with every year, Pričigin joins the celebration of World Storytelling Day which is celebrated in 40 countries across all continents, reports Dalmacija Danas on March 17, 2017.
The first day of the festival, which is on Tuesday, March 21, will be held in the youth center “Dom Mladih” (MKC). After the opening, Croatian writers will speak on the topic “love manual in seven steps”. The first day will end in the evening with author Goran Milić.
The second day of Pričigin will open at the youth center MKC under the theme “How Much Grief?” and the program will feature writers Boris Dežulović, Jurica Pavičić, Damir Pilić, Ladislav Tomičić, and Ante Tomić. Hotel Bellvue will host the evening program with Dora Jagić, Siniša Kekez, Želimir Periša, Marko Pogačar and Darko Šeparović.
The third day of the festival returns to the youth center (MKC) featuring guests from the Balkan region and Croatia. The author’s evening at the Hotel Bellevue will be dedicated Jasen Boki who will talk about global myths and local transport.
The fourth day of Pričigin will host a book exchange at cafe Semafor. Club Quasimodo will host Borna Sor who will discuss the News Bar, and the youth center will host an event remembering demo bands from the 80’s.
The last day of the festival, which is Saturday, March 25, will begin at the City Library Marko Marulić. At the library, elementary school students will be selected for the Children’s Pričigin competition. The program will continue with a book exchange at cafe Semafor. At Hotel Park there will be a presentation by members of Marathon Club Marjan, and the festival will close at Hotel Bellevue with Kruno Lokotar and Emir Imamovic Pirke for the thematic evening “National Cheer”.
