The future of Split is based on the development of the technology industry and smart solutions, the mayor said.
Developing IT technology and Smart City solutions, creating and preserving a sustainable city, the Split Technological Park on Dračevac, the new Žnjan with future social content, developing traffic infrastructure – Metro Airport – Ferry Port, the ‘East Coast’ and Kopilica, a Solin-Split agglomeration water system and the development of hotel capacities, were the projects presented to entrepreneurs from 40 different French companies on Friday at the headquarters of the French Association of Employers MEDEF in Paris, reports Dalmatinski Portal on September 21, 2018.
Mayor Andro Krstulović-Opara specifically spoke about projects that will give Split new developmental momentum, primarily in the field of the technology industry, followed by infrastructure and tourism. Opara stated that the involvement and contribution of investors, both domestic and foreign, are always welcome.
The mayors of Rijeka and Zadar, Vojko Obersnel and Branko Dukić, also presented the development projects of their cities, as well as representatives of Slavonski Brod and Osijek. After the conference, numerous individual talks with representatives of French companies interested in investing followed.
The Croatian Agency for Investments and Competitiveness also supported this meeting, and the president of the Sustainable Cities Working Group – MEDEF International, Gerard Wolf, thanked everyone for their presentations and wished for good cooperation between Croatian cities and French companies.
The Croatian delegation’s program continues with a visit to the OECD Center for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises, Cities and Regions, where they will also have the opportunity to present investment and economic development opportunities.
