On Saturday, June 24, 2017, ”Split Pride 2017″ will gather in the center of Split.
With Split Pride 2017 (which you can read about on TCN here) quickly approaching, we are bringing you everything you need to know about the streets that will and won’t be open during the parade, reports Dalmacija News on June 22, 2017.
The Split-Dalmatia County Police Department has informed citizens that on Saturday, June 24th from 15:00 until the public assembly is completed, there will be a blockade of traffic at the following locations:
– from the roundabout at the West Coast (intersection Trumbićeva obala and Brajević ) to the waterfront (Riva)
– from Manuška poljana towards Sinjska ulica and Strossmayer Park (Đardin)
– from the intersection of Zagrebačka and Držićeva to Strossmayer Park
Temporary traffic signs will be set up at all of these locations.
After the public assembly departs Strossmayer Park, movement will be temporarily restricted on parts of the following streets: Kralja Tomislava, Marmontova, Obala hrvatskog narodnog preporoda (Riva), Narodni trg, Bosanska ulica.
The police will act in accordance with Article 79 of the Law on police duties and powers before, during, and after the event.
All citizens are asked to respect the instructions of police officers to ensure the public assembly pass without incident.
