Split’s newest nightclub will open tomorrow in the former space of O’Hara in the Zenta neighborhood of Split.
After the club’s opening was delayed due to construction work, Split will finally be richer with a new music club from tomorrow, reports Dalmatinski Portal on June 27, 2017. Meet club Zenta.
The opening of the new nightclub Zenta will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, with a big part titled Urbanlook. As part of this program, DJ Dan Dally and Halioz will turn this renovated two-storey club into a haven of urban domestic and international pop, house and electronic music.
The program continues on Thursday with Candy shop led by hip hop and R’n’B DJs BigBoi Boris and DJ Mattox, Zagreb producer DJ Chilla and House on The Beach with DJ Dan Dally. Friday will be devoted to tech and tech-house sounds, where DJs Andrologic, Marko Felinger and Daniel E, all on the Underwater brand, will greet visitors. On Saturday, with another release of House on the Beach, club resident selections will be premiered for the first time in the mashup program called Mashroom.
After more than 30 years, club Zenta has no incentive to offer urban music to the Split audience. On the contrary, following the Shakespeare philosophy of the eighties and the nineties, and the recently closed O’Hara, the new leadership of the club has opted for the continuation of the good practice of quality music offerings and night programs.
On Thursday, July 6th, the commemorative concert of Libra will kick off the series of open-air concerts, enriching the recognizable sound identity in the emergence of the new, renovated club Zenta. A day later, on Friday, July 7th, a series of techno and house parties called Transition will be launched, directed and performed by Sev Daha, Skeptics, Tom R and Jurija Paika.
“We invite Split fans and audiences of all ages and musical tastes, to participate in this festive event, adding a new piece to the scale of quality, as opposed to the overwhelming compromise and the slogan of cheap sound consumerism that has overwhelmed Split for decades. Club Zenta has not given up on its predecessors, but is upgrading and empowering them with a new concept that will strive to unite styles and dances of good musical tastes, from electronic to techno, from reggae to funk, from rock to jazz, from trap to dubstep – all together with the generic weekly DJ program to the organic live play which the club will nurture on Sunday,” said Zenta.
“This is about you and just about you, dear people of Split and your guests. We will depend on your support and visits for the durability and survival of our journey. We invite you to make your commitment to the quality nightlife you deserve by showing up and participating in the opening ceremony of the club,” Zenta added.
