Yesterday at Split’s ferry port, visitors were able to see the ‘Vukovar’ rocket launcher and the military helicopter ‘Kiowa Warrior’. Today, you can watch the flight from the cockpit!
Yesterday, the people of Split and their guests who were lucky enough to be in the center of the city welcomed an attractive surprise. To mark the 27th anniversary of the 4th Guards Brigade, the Croatian Navy’s ‘Vukovar’ rocket launcher, accompanied by the Croatian Air Force’s military helicopter ‘Kiowa Warrior’, was presented at the Split harbor, reports Dalmacija Danas on April 28, 2018.
Pilots of the Croatian Air Force assembled with local journalists to share some of their experiences in flight with the Kiowa Warrior.
“People always ask about the helicopter helmet and what it entails. It has sensors that help us identify goals and night-watch. The helicopter is equipped with a thermal camera and a night vision camera,” we learned from the pilot.
When asked if they had ever had problems with the drones during flight, the pilot replied in the affirmative.
“We do. People are not the most responsible, and they do not know how dangerous drones are for us.”
But what we really want to know – what does Split look like through the eyes of a Kiowa Warrior?
