Films at Golden Gate Cinema: oDOK at 20.30 Ivica Puljak presents the documentary film “CERN (2013)”.
At the Swiss border with France, the European Particle Physics Laboratory (CERN) research center resides. The central instrument for research is the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a 27-kilometer-shaped tunnel used by scientists to simulate “Big Bang”. This tunnel is actually a particle accelerator that accelerates particles so close to the speed of light, which then crashes and reveals what happened at the very beginning of our universe. In the documentary, Nikolaus Geyrhalter explores the infrastructure of the center and follows the people who run the research machines there.

The Nutcracker @ HNK – 1930: Ballet spectacular The Nutcracker, which is the most accomplished ballet in the world, has the title and popularity of breaking many records in Croatia for years. This season, the dance is included in the program of the Croatian National Theater in Split. Choreographer Božica Lisak conveys the choreography of Waczlawa Orlykowsky, and the whole Ballet ensemble, along with young ballet dancers from Ballet Studio, is included in this gorgeous production with more than 130 dancers on stage.

Kašeta brokava @ HNK – 19.30: The popular drama of Elvis Bošnjak, the most prominent writer of the Split in the last fifteen years and directed by Nenni Delmestre, returns to the scene of HNK Split this season.
