Happy Friday! While we always welcome the weekend with open arms, for those of us in Split, we are even more lucky to welcome in this weekend with warm rays of October sun.

If you’re looking for a night out
DJ Groovyman at Fabrique – 22:00: Funky soul rhythms will be brought to the crowd by DJ Groovyman who started his career at Gramophonedas.
Sola 54 at Judino Drvo – 23:00: DJ Sola – the legend of the city, the oldest teenager in Split, has been synonymous with entertainment since the 80s. His long-standing residence at Metropolis has entered the history of club music in Split. Ladies come free until 01:00!
Vrh & Vojko at Quasimodo – 23:00: Vrh & Vojko in new trap episodes. Entrance is 10 HRK.
Taman with El Commando & Commode at Kocka – 23:00: The new season comes with a new evening party that focuses on the darker recognition of techno/electro and IDM music called Taman, the sister program of PULP. El Commando and Kommoda will present a new sound and show you what to expect from the guest DJs during the season. Entrance is 30 HRK.
If you’re looking for a chill night
Underverden & The Snowman at Golden Gate Cinema: You can catch “Underverden (2017)” at 17:30 and “The Snowman (2017)” at 20:00.
Films at Kino Karaman: Three films will be screened this evening, beginning at 18:00. You can catch “Trieste, Yugoslavia (2017)” at 18:00, “Victoria and Abdul (2017)” at 19:15, and “Leatherface (2017)” at 21:15.
“Murder at Quasimodo Club” at HNK – 19:55: “Murder at Quasimodo Club” is the eleventh text of the Croatian playwright Elvis Bosniak. In this thrilling comedy, life and death become two identities in which characters crave the idea of beauty in a series of comic situations.
If you’re looking to soak up some art

Adria Art Annale at Diocletian’s Basement – All Day: Adria Art Annale is an exhibition of solidarity – the author’s names do not stand out, and the works highlight the real problems of all the inhabitants endangered by the galloping selfishness and the desire for financial certainty. Years of experience led to today’s artistic form of this exhibition, which does not deal with the presentation of the individual genius as in talent shows but by creating a space of true communication among the divided social groups.
The Jubilee 30th AAA is a struggle for space art and culture that are the only possible serum/response to “eternal return”. Fascism is openly celebrated in the streets of Europe’s major cities, Croatia wants to become the “leading weapon manufacturer in the region”, public goods, beaches, forests and water springs are privatized, and our city, or city government, stand side by side of crime.

Jay Haze at Judino Drvo – 22:00: Jay Haze has gone behind a number of aliases including Fuckpony, Sub Version, The Architect. The famous world producer is known for his releases on legendary labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, Soma, Karloff, Musik Krause, Playhouse and founder TuningSpork, Futuredub, Contexterrior, Junion Label.
This music philanthropist is known for changing his residence every few years, searching the world for new musical inspirations, but also helps those in need and is the initiator of several humanitarian actions.

Ladies Night at Club Zenta – 23:00: The entire night is dedicated to ladies who do not have to pay entrance and will be greeted with a welcome drink on the floor of the club. DJ Evo will bring the best of pop and R’n’B.
If you’re looking for something fun
Chili Marathon at Club Kocka – 20:00: The third Split Chili Marathon will be held this year at club Kocka. The evening will be led by stand-up duo Ante Travizi and Tomislav Primorac who guarantee the best of times, a memorable night filled with agony, suffering, self-delusion and laughter. A concert by Barbara Munjas Calligraphy will follow after the competition.
Zdravko Čolić at City Center One – 20:00: Zdravko Čolić appeared on the scene in 1973 with the hit ‘Gori vatra’ and then with a series of hits including ”Ti si mi u krvi’, ‘Pusti, pusti modu’, ‘Pjevam danju, pjevam noću’, ‘Glavo luda’, ‘Stanica Podlugovi’and many more. Help City Center One celebrate their birthday with this special treat.

Split for Vukovar – Action on a collection of books: The Society of Croatian Writers Split Branch, in cooperation with City Library Marko Marulić, invites citizens to donate books to the City Library of Vukovar. The books will be presented during the Memorial Day for Victims of Vukovar in November this year. The action will take place from October 15 to November 10, 2017 in the GKMM libraries: Central Library, Bol-Plokite, Brodarica, Spinut, Trstenik, Ravne Njive, Meje, Žrnovnica and Podstrana.

Believe in Love at HNK – 20:00: The Split County Cancer League celebrates 50 years of action marked by a solemn concert with Oliver Dragojević, Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni, Tedi Spalato and Marijan Ban.
Because we’ll be enjoying such a warm weekend here in Split, why not take advantage of one of the city’s favorite parks, Sustipan? Located just 10-minutes from the Riva (and along the West Riva which we all love), we recommend having a picnic and setting up shop there until sunset.
