Are you interested in providing first aid to the injured at sea? Would you like to renew your first-aid knowledge? Do you wonder if rescue services work? Do you want to have fun and learn something new?
The Invictus Mare Association is organizing a presentation and practical workshop on first aid at sea. The students of the Association of the Faculty of Medicine in Split “croMSIC” and the Red Cross Society will be participants in the presentation. The aim of the project is to raise awareness and educate about the importance of safety while teaching first aid at sea.
The participants will get acquainted with rescue equipment (life jackets, buoys), and will go through drowning exercises, how to provide first aid to the injured, and how to react to other emergency situations and dangers that one might encounter at sea.
The program is designed as an attractive extracurricular activity that combines theory with practice.
The event will be held at the Poljud Swimming Pool Sports Center in Split.
The presentation of first aid will take place on June 6, 2017, from 10 am to 3 pm and will be held by representatives of the Invictus Mare association, croMSIC and the Red Cross Society.
In addition to refreshing old knowledge and acquiring new, there will also be entertainment and prizes.
