Split through the eyes of the Swedish Nomad.
It’s no surprise that the city of Split boasts one of the most breathtaking backdrops. From the ancient palace walls to the blues of the Adriatic Sea, Split has always been a photographers dream!
Something that has been particularly special to follow is how different each photographer captures the city of Split through their lens – each one adding their twist and flair to trademark the photograph as their own.
Today I came across an Instagram profile named “Swedish Nomad” which follows the journey of Alex, a full-time traveler who quit his 9-5 job to explore the cultures, nature, animals, and photography of the world.
The travel blogger recently found himself in Croatia where he spent two months traveling around the country, which of course required him to spend some time in Split.
Alex recalls his time in Split by saying it is “one of my favorite cities, and it was a blessing to make photos there.”
He continues by saying that one morning he arrived at Peristyle at 6:30 am to ensure the space was empty of crowds so he could capture the right photograph! Apart from the early wake-up call, it is definitely something Alex highly recommends.
Without further ado, here are a few of our favorite photos from the Swedish Nomad’s journey in Split.
Alex also visited Bol on the island of Brač and Omiš, close neighbors of Split.
