Takeover Split: Celebrating 15 Years of the Croatian Electronic Music Scene

Takeover Split will be taking place this Friday, June 3 at Klub Mladih, bringing you lectures, workshops and entertainment on the Croatian electronic music scene. The night will end at O’Hara with a line up of 12 respectable local DJ’s.

The portal of electronic music and club CULTURE Klubskascena.hr celebrates 15 years of existence with the Takeover tour, designed to promote the local Croatian electronic music scene and the DJs within it.

 

For the first time in its existence, there will be an organized educational program designed for an audience that is eager to absorb the knowledge of the electronic music scene, expressing the fact that the electronic music scene is not only about the party. This  program will help to educate electronic music enthusiasts through seminars, workshops, and lectures by reputable promoters, artists and music associations.

 

Starting at 17h with free access to Klub Mladih, here is the scheduled program:

17:00 Dubok: a lecture on the development of alternative electronic scene

17:30 Silvio Hrabar: a lecture on the establishment of digital labels

18:00 Tatjana Papic: a talk about the beginnings of Split’s underground scene, ie. the first parties held in 1992

18:30 Active Line Six: Apple Logic X creative workshops on music production

20:00 Tribune ZAMP: topics of interest to DJs who create their copyrighted works and the possibilities of copyright in the collective protection system, and current topics of interest to the DJ’s music as the user who obtains a licensing as a DJ

 

In the evening on June 3, Takeover will essentially “take over” two dance floors of the Split club O’Hara, where 12 DJs from the local scene will perform throughout the night. The line up includes: Milan Pivalica, Feta, Silvio Hrabar, Dubok, El Commando, Malesh, Vice Vicious, Klox, Tome R., Ivan Romac, Marul and Tino Simich. Entrance fee is 30 kn.

 

Klub Mladih is located at Ruder Boskovic 20, event will be held on the second floor.
