Heritage Hotel Antique is tried, trusted, and recommended by The Telegraph.

We know, we know, we’ve been pulling out all of the stops for Heritage Hotel Antique lately, but this nod from one of Britain’s most-cherished newspapers is deserving of another shout.

British daily newspaper The Telegraph has given Split’s Heritage Hotel Antique an 8/10 as one of their top picks for places to stay in the city. Travel writer Isabel Putinja shares her thoughts on why this luxurious sanctuary made her Split list.

“This bed-and-breakfast-style heritage hotel with classical interiors is set in a 4th-century building on a lane tucked inside the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace. The street-facing rooms have probably the best views in the old town – directly overlooking St. Domnius Cathedral and the Peristyle.”

When it comes to the location of this heritage hotel, Putinja claims it couldn’t be better – positioned directly inside the 4th-century Diocletian’s Palace. With parking that can be arranged by staff, and simple luggage transfers via an electric golf cart, what can go wrong?

Regarding the style and character of the hotel, Putinja praised the exposed stone walls in the guest rooms, adorned with dark wood furniture and heavy drapes – a scene fit for royalty!

With eight double guests rooms and all of the amenities you could want from minibars to coffee and tea, air conditioning and breakfast buffets with made-to-order eggs in the morning, who needs a restaurant or room service? Especially when you’re walking distance to dozens of Split’s best restaurants.

Rated a stellar 8/10 when it comes to getting a bang for your buck, Heritage Hotel Antique offers double rooms from €120 (£107) in the low season and from €340 (£303) in the high season.
