November the 21st, 2024 – There have been record passenger numbers for Jadrolinija this year, with 3.5 million vehicles and over 12 million passengers transported.
As Morski writes, the aforementioned figures represent record passenger numbers for Jadrolinija, both in the number of transported passengers and in the number of transported vehicles. These results exceed the results of the same period last year, by 2% in the number of transported passengers, and by as much as 4% in the number of transported vehicles.
These record passenger numbers for Jadrolinija are promising and increases have been visible in all navigable areas of Croatia. That said, Zadar’s navigable area stands out in particular with a 4% increase in the number of transported passengers and an 8% increase in the number of transported vehicles so far in 2024. In general, growth trends are most visible in the increase in vehicle transportation along Croatia’s entire coastline.
“We’d especially like to highlight the increase in traffic on Jadrolinija’s international routes, which, compared to 2023, amounted to 24% more passengers and 29% more vehicles this year. These results indicate the success of the flagship of the fleet, the ship Dalmacija, which set sail on international routes in the spring of 2024. In the year ahead, we expect growth to continue and we’ll also work on the further development of our services operating on international routes.
The Jadrolinija white fleet otherwise consists of 59 vessels which sailed on 37 local and three international lines throughout 2024. The main credit for the record passenger numbers for Jadrolinija go to the seafarers and captains. With their hard work and daily efforts, they bear a large part of the pressure that comes with such high traffic. We can also look at these results with gratitude towards the increasing number of passengers using the vessels, who have been doing so for 77 years now.
“They’ve been placing their trust in Jadrolinija for years now, and are the main incentive for the company’s constant progress,” Jadrolinija’s statement read.
