The technical review of the newly-refurbished hospital building at Križine in Split has been conducted yesterday, and the contractors have successfully completed the handover of the facility to its owners. The building has been in renovations for the last five months, as part of the project to improve energy efficiency, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on September 30 2015.

The works have lasted from 1 May. Since the original completion date was 20 June next year, the construction has been completed nine months sooner than expected. “The renovations have been done in record time, with a high level of quality, because we wanted for the hospital at Križine to start functioning normally as soon as possible. The hospital will not require additional renovations for the next 50 years”, said Graciano Rudan, owner of the Rudan company from Barban which carried out the works.

Dr. Kolja Poljak, general manager of the Split Clinical Hospital Centre, said that the restorations have been done very efficiently and thanked the patients for the patience and understanding which they have demonstrated.

“Throughout the renovations, the hospital was functioning normally, which is almost unbelievable. I hope that the money which we had been spending on building maintenance at Križine will now be directed towards the purchase of new medical equipment and investments in development of the Split Clinical Hospital Centre”, said dr. Poljak.

The works have still not been completely finished. Currently, the final touches are being put to the hospital environment and the interior of the building. According to unofficial information, minister of construction Anka Mrak-Taritaš will visit the Križine hospital on Friday.
