June the 15th, 2023 – A 66 million euro Terme Jezercica investment is on the cards. The popular complex sits a mere 40 kilometres from the hustle and bustle of Zagreb.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, approximately 66 million euros will be invested in the renovation of the Terme Jezercica tourist complex in Donja Stubica until 2027.

Continental Croatian tourism

Krapina-Zagorje prefect Zeljko Kolar got better acquainted with the recently realised investments and plans for the next period on Tuesday. He visited the thermal baths in the company of their new owner, the founder of the company Rudan d.o.o. Graciana Rudan, who emphasised that continental tourism boasts a lot of very real potential for Croatia.

The new part of the open water park is the biggest investment

“I was especially attracted here by the superb thermal water, which has exactly the same chemical composition as it did back in 1974, when a sample was taken for the first time. So, there’s been no fecal pollution, and I think we’re the only spas that have their own source in Croatia,” explained Rudan. The director of Terme Jezercica Elvis Pavlekovic said that so far, seven million euros have been invested. Visually speaking, the biggest Terme Jezercica investment is the new part of the open water park.

A new hotel

“We’re starting to build a new hotel. We’re dependent on the funds from the Recovery and Resilience Programme (NPOO), so we hope that the project we made will go through and that it will be recognised by the Ministry of Tourism. If it’s accepted, a new hotel with 126 rooms will spring up here. After that, the biggest Aquapark in the continental part of the country is being planned,” says Pavlekovic.
