June the 15th, 2023 – The Croatian company Meta Mate employs 300 people and has increased its electric scooter capacities by 40 recently.

As Poslovni Dnevnik/Darko Bicak writes, the Croatian company Meta Mate says that these brand new electric scooters that are significantly faster than those which operate with petrol engines, they don’t produce any sound, they don’t pollute the environment, and at the same time they reduce transportation costs.

An environmentally friendly investment

The average petrol scooter of 50 cc consumes about four litres of petrol per 100 kilometres, and, in addition to fuel, it’s also necessary to top them up with oil. As such, the cost per 100 kilometres for such a scooter is about eight euros. Electric scooters, equivalent to petrol-fuelled ones of 50 cc, consume only about half a euro of electricity per 100 kilometres. If they’re charged during the night, this cost can be made even lower.

An electric fleet is key

The owner of the Croatian company Meta Mate, Mate Ducic, pointed out that their electric fleet is a perfect indicator of how it pays to use electric vehicles in everyday business because, in addition to reducing costs, the use of electric scooters affects the speed and quality of delivery. In addition, he added, the positive impact on the environment is certainly one of the reasons why they decided on this investment. This company says that the purchase of electric scooters is just one in a series of business decisions by which they’re taking care of both the safety of their employees and the protection of the environment.
