You can try and buy everything from mlinci and štrukli to gemišt and rakija today and tomorrow at Jelačić Square.
For the eighth consecutive year, the event ‘100% from Zagorje’ takes place this weekend (September 15 and 16) on Ban Jelačić Square, where you can taste and buy products and produce grown in a traditional and organic way and made by traditional crafts from Krapina-Zagorje County.
Around 120 exhibitors, including OPGs (family-run farms), associations, crafts, companies and tourist-catering establishments will present and offer traditional products from Zagorje including pumpkin seed oil, honey, gingerbreads, mlinci, štrukli, charcuterie, brandies and wines, traditional toys and various other products of Hrvatsko Zagorje. The two-day event celebrating the rich cultural heritage and gastronomic delicacies of Croatian Zagorje will also feature a cultural and entertainment programme involving three hundred performers.

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić, Krapina-Zagorje County prefect Željko Kolar, Vice-President of the Croatian Parliament Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, and President of the Krapina-Zagorje County Assembly Vlasta Hubicki attended the event’s opening ceremony.
The Zagreb Mayor invited all citizens to visit the stands and buy locally made products and wished all exhibitors a lot of success. County prefect Kolar stressed that Zagreb and Zagorje have always been connected and invited all citizens of Zagreb to visit the event. The county prefect also pointed out that “100% from Zagorje” is their biggest manifestation in Zagreb, which the citizens are so fond that it has expanded; the event was organised in Rijeka and Vukovar and will be held in Pula next year.
