New Low-Floor Buses for ZET

Total Croatia News

The new buses will further modernise ZET’s fleet

Five low-floor buses were added to ZET’s fleet yesterday, on July 7. The new buses were presented at Zagreb’s Remiza terminal by Mayor Milan Bandić, Zagreb City Holding CEO Ana Stojić Deban, head of Zagreb Electric Tram Ljuba Romčević Žgela, and Autobus d.o.o. CEO Robert Vrhovski.

Each bus has a capacity of 80 and is equipped with video surveillance system, air conditioning, and a ramp which makes entering the bus easier for persons with disabilities.

The buses run on the latest EURO 6 standard engines, which means that the exhaust emission is very low. This is another step in the process of modernising ZET’s fleet in order to make transportation safer, more comfortable, and of a higher quality, Ms Romčević Žgela said, adding that ten more articulated buses will be added to the fleet by autumn.

Mayor Bandić added that an agreement with Gredelj and Končar for purchasing 60 additional low-floor trams should be signed in autumn as well.

The new buses cost HRK 8 million.
