Studio smijeha is celebrating its 6th birthday on April 1!
No, it’s not a joke. Well, there will be lots of them, because it is a comedy club, but we’re not trying to make April fools out of you, the birthday party will take place on April 1. There will be two plays for children and two “best of” shows for bigger children.
The first Croatian and regional comedy club was founded on April 1, 2011, and it offers daily comedy events: professional and amateur, Croatian and international, improve, open mic, theme nights, or all-day chill hangouts at the club’s café. It was founded by Marina Orsag, whom you’ve probably met here.
The members have travelled throughout Croatia and around the world to perform at festivals, participate at humanitarian events, act, and they try to use humour as a tool to fight prejudice.
Entrance to all four birthday shows costs 20 kn, and here’s the schedule:
15:00 – “Čarapojedac” (children’s play)
16: 00 – “Kaje di je jaje” (children’s play)
18:00 – Best of stand-up Vol.1 (Tomislav Primorac, Vanja Dobrijević, Ante Travizi, Ivica Lazaneo, Josip Škiljo, Saša Turković i Goran Vinčić)
20:30 – Best of stand-up Vol. 2 (Tin Sedlar, Tihomir Paravina, Marko Dejanović, Ivo Musulin, Miranda Lončar, Joža Vrban, Jelena Mandarić i Marina Orsag)
