Zagreb is hosting the biggest eye contact experiment for the second year in a row, next Saturday, September 23.
The event, part of the World’s Biggest Eye Contact Experiment, is coordinated by the Liberators International, a social movement the members of which want to create positive experiences in the world by encouraging people to participate in acts of kindness and human interaction.
The organisers will make a video which will then be used to create a message for peace and human connection. The event will take place at different locations around the world at the same time on September 23 as part of UN’s International Peace Week.
In 2016, more than 100,000 people from 156 cities participated in the event.
The idea is simple – there will be a sign saying “Where has the human connection gone? Share 1 minute of eye contact to find out…” and people will be invited to join in and share eye contact. You will look into the eyes of a person in front of you, creating a safe environment of acceptance and love, resulting in a powerful sense of authentic connection.
You can help by bringing your friends and family with you and spreading the word about the event, using hashtags #share1minute #eyecontact #Zagreb.
The location will be announced soon, and, in the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the event below:
