The first festival dedicated to beer took place in Zagreb’s Dr Franjo Tuđman park over the weekend and, even though the event was beer-themed, the atmosphere was relaxed and very family-friendly. People lounged around in chairs, parents were patiently introducing their children to some great music and music festival culture, and there were even a few four-legged music lovers barking happily to the sounds of bands playing from the stage.
The organisers learned from their mistakes and apologised for the lack of craft beer during the first night, and made sure there was more than enough during the following days, and the bands (Kawasaki 3P, Artan Lili, M.O.R.T., Kojoti, My Baby…) did their best to keep the audience dancing.
All in all, good food, great beer and a brilliant atmosphere in the centre of Zagreb, we can safely say that the first Beer Festival in Zagreb passed with flying colours and we hope this is the beginning of many more to come.
