Zagreb Connect Startup Conference to Take Place in December

Zagreb Connect is a perfect opportunity for startups from Croatia and abroad to present their business ideas to potential investors, investment institutions and business angels.

The City of Zagreb and CRANE Croatian Business Angels Network will partner up in organising Zagreb Connect, the fourth Zagreb startup conference which will be held on December 6, 2017, at Zagreb Fair congress centre, Politika plus reports on September 25, 2017.

The aim of the conference is to provide support to young entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas and promoting Zagreb and Croatia-based startups.

More than 500 visitors are expected to attend the conference, as well as many successful startups, investors, business angels, experts and lecturers. A startup pitch competition will also be held, and best entrepreneurs will get a chance to receive valuable prizes, with up to HRK 130,000 worth of prizes. Zagreb Connect is a perfect opportunity for startups from Croatia and abroad to present their business ideas to potential investors, investment institutions and business angels.

There will be bootcamp workshops before the conference, on December 5, 2017, when finalists will have a chance to perfect their presentation skills and learn from top experts and mentors how they can present their products to investors.

Zagreb Connect conference, which started in 2014, has successfully connected more than 100 quality startups with investors and business partners. Zagreb Connect 2016 was part of the biggest annual business angel conferences in Europe, EBAN Winter University 2016, where the Croatian and regional startup scene potential was presented to more than 1,200 visitors. Various lectures and panel discussions with notable lecturers and guests were also held, and some of the most famous guests included Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden singer, entrepreneur, and business angel; Dov Moran, inventor of the USB stick; Allyson Reneau of NASA; Matan Bar of PayPal, and many others. Some of the entrepreneurs and startups that have benefited from participating in the conference include Amodo, Vollo, and Nanodiy.
