Cuban spirit is visiting the favourite summer promenade in Zagreb
Cuba is visiting and it seems it’s not planning to leave anytime soon! After a themed evening at the ZG Wine & Food festival on Saturday, the Cuban spirit is moving to another location in the Upper Town – the Strossmartre. On Friday, 2 June, the promenade will transform into one of the most attractive streets in the world, Havana’s Paseo del Prado.
As the Cuban salsa is popular worldwide, there’s no doubt the favourite summer promenade in Zagreb will liven up even more than usual. Visitors are invited to show off their sensual salsa moves accompanied by the hosts Marijana Batinić and Danijel Bilić, and the band Cubismo will take care of the music with one of their energetic, vibrant shows. Drink of the night? Mojito, obviously. It’s a traditional Cuban cocktail and a known favourite of Ernest Hemingway who spent 20 years on Cuba.
If you’re interested in the art of cocktail-making, here’s your chance: on 2 June from 6 to 8 PM, professional cocktail masters will hold a workshop to teach the interested guests how to make a perfect mojito.
