Happy book-hunting!
One of the most anticipated autumn events in Zagreb is definitely Interliber – International Book and Teaching Appliances Fair.
Zagreb Fair will be hosting the impressive 40th edition of Interliber November 7 – 12, with more than 300 exhibitors from over 16 countries. Huge pavilions will be filled with books, new titles, various cultural events and meetups, quizzes and a special premium birthday programme.
This is a great opportunity to get a 2018 calendar planner or some new books for your shelves because they can be found at a fraction of their regular cost.
Having in mind the importance that books have had in Croatian culture, education and society in general and the difficult situation that Croatian bookstores and publishers have gone through this past year, the fee for this year’s exhibitions will be a symbolic price of one kuna.

Entrance and parking are free and there will also be a special award by Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić – a set of books by famous Croatian authors.
Pavilion 5 Gallery will be home to various creative and educational programmes, including comic book workshops, games, reading book assignments for school, and writers will be spending time with their fans.
Primary and secondary school students who like reading books will have a chance to participate in a High Five quiz and there will be a rare and old book auction.
Little visitors can look forward to workshops for little scientists who will be able to learn about weather, isolating their DNA, or enjoy robot theatre shows, all part of Znanstveni kvart (Science District) programme. Find out more here.

You can visit Interliber November 7 – 12, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., except Friday and Saturday, when it will stay open until 9 p.m.
