Medieval Days on Medvednica

Missing Game of Thrones? Get your dose of medieval times at Medvedgrad, September 23 and 24.

Medvedgrad has always been one of the most mysterious places in Zagreb, a lone fortress in the middle of Medvednica Mountain, overlooking the city.

The 13th-century fortress is surrounded by mysteries and legends, which makes it a perfect location for a medieval festival – Medvedgrad is hosting Medieval Days on September 23 and 24. You’ll be able to enjoy archery workshops, medieval music and dance, see torture equipment, see knights in shining armours fight in tournaments, and buy things from medieval sellers.
You’ll see the legendary ruler of Medvedgrad, the Black Queen and maybe find out where she and her ravens have been hiding for the past couple of centuries.

Free buses will be taking passengers from the church in Šestine to Medvedgrad.
