Zrinjevac is turning into an oasis of pastries and sweets June 22 – July 2
If you’re anything like me – can’t imagine a day without a piece of cake and live by the “There’s always room for dessert” motto, you’ll be happy to know there’s a festival just for you in the centre of Zagreb starting in two days!
Known as the sweetest festival in Zagreb, Slatki gušti will satisfy all your carb needs and, in addition to the delicacies from the best cake shops in Zagreb, it will offer other delicious surprises.
To mark the festival’s 6th edition, the opening ceremony (June 22 at 7 p.m.) will include 600 biodegradable pink balloons being unleashed into the sky.
There will be daily competitions, workshops, guest chefs, concerts, picnics, programmes both for children and adults and, for the first time in Croatia, there will be a food blogging conference with guest bloggers such as Ebba’s Cuisine or SHEdonista. There will also be a cookoff – Kul In vs Food Bloggers on Sunday, June 25.
In addition to your regular carb needs, you will have an opportunity to learn how to make vegan and raw cakes and sweets. Franco Aliberti, famous Italian chef who cooks at a Michelin star restaurant will also be there, as well as our Branko Ognjenović.
Stop by Zrinjevac Park June 22 – July 2 and make your life delicious!
