It remains my favourite photo of one of Jelsa’s great icons – The Bench.
Situated on the waterfront, The Bench is reserved for the senior male citizens of the community. Often full, The Bench is where one trades observations about life, politics and olives, and while the conversation can be animated, it never quite evokes the reactions as in the lead photo of this article when a pretty Czech model walked past.
The Fashion Photo Workshop based in Ivan Dolac has become an established part of the Hvar scene, as the team from Prague come down to the island a couple of times a year to run fashion photography workshop. A great behind-the-scenes video…
