It is just two weeks until one of the most important cultural events of the Croatian cultural calendar, the 300th Alka Knights Tournament in Sinj.
Continuing a proud tradition to mark the heroic defence on the inland Dalmatian town from the Ottoman Turks during the 1715 Siege of Sinj, the Alka tournament is one of THE defining cultural events of the cultural calendar, an event broadcast on live television each year, and attended by the Croatian President in person. So how do these brave knights prepare for such a momentous event?
Well, a balanced and healthy diet is of course essential.
And where better for the knights to convene than a seafood special in the haven that is Meneghello on Pamizana. See the knights relaxing before their big day in the picture above.
