Continuing our look in pictures at some of the best beaches on Hvar, today we travel east to Vela Stiniva.
Although not so many tourists venture much further east than Jelsa in search of things to do and places to visit on Hvar, a growing number of them have heard of, and are visiting, Vela Stiniva on the northern coast (to reach it, simply head to the village of Poljica on the main road, and turn left).
Surrounded by sheer cliffs which offer some of the best rock climbing on the island, the beach in front of the pretty village is extremely popular. Many thanks to the folks at Visit Hvar for the photos (and check out their Hvar accommodations), as well as to Vice Rudan for his early morning video of the atmosphere at the beach.
