Work continues on the upgrade of Jelsa, with the latest area to undergo a transormation the square in front of the tourist board office close to Jelsa’s recently reporganised car park.

The square, next to the park and just behind the municipal building on the waterfront, had been home to the town’s taxis, who have now moved a little futher away to their own dedicated spot at the edge of the car park facing the park.

And so the works begin, and it appears that Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic does not have the monopoly on fountains, for this square is set to be paved in stone, with a fountain at its centre. More details and photos as we get them, but many thanks to Professor Frank John Dubokovich, Guardian of the Hvar Dialects, and Vivian Grisogono for the photos, via Eco Hvar.

And below, the latest from Jelsa’s Copacobana Beach.
