The Hvar Half Marathon will be taking place this summer on August 20!
On the island of Hvar, a 22 km half-marathon takes place, beginning from Stari Grad and finishing in Hvar Town. The first half of the race is uphill with an elevation of up to 400m above sea level, then as you make your way back down the coastline, you’ll be spoiled with a sea filled views and a bright and burning sunset. Every kilometer is marked and you will find water stations at 5, 10 and 15km. The route includes over 400 metres of ascent, and the same of descent. All running roads are paved. The race begins at 17:30h.
The road map begins at Ploča Square (trg Ploča) in Stari Grad and ends at Sv. Stjepan Square (trg Sv. Stjepan) the town hall in Hvar town.
A dinner and after party for all runners will be held after the race near the finish line, in front of the City Hall and the hotel PALACE, starting from 20h.
There are prizes for the winners such as 1.500,00 kn for first place and all winners per category will be awarded sponsor’s medals and awards.

The deadline for applications via the website is August 19th, 2016 at 12.00h.
The registration is also possible without the web application, on the day of the race day. Start fee then will be 27 EUR or 200 HRK.
