Who’s ready for squid?
The famous squid fishing competition “Peškafondo” returns this November for two days of music, dancing, good food, even better company, and all the squid you can imagine.
Organized by Hvar Town’s legendary Gariful restaurant, this year’s competition will be held on November 3 and 4, 2017.

Friday, November 3, 2017
13:00 – Opening of the tournament in front of Hotel Riva
(Accreditation, t-shirts and boat numbers)
13:30 – Gathering with food and live music!
15:00 – Start the tournament in front of Hotel Riva
20:00 – Participants return (those who arrive after 20:00 will not have their catch admitted)
20:30 – Measuring the squid in front of Hotel Riva
21:00 – Gathering in front of Hotel Riva with live music
and a selection of bites
23:00 – Pink Champagne – Concert: Tamburitza Dyaco
(Entrance only with accreditation!)

RULES OF THE COMPETITION
– A team (one boat) makes up to max. 6 persons
– When applying, the team must have the name of their leader (the team leader will bring what they’ve caught up for measurement)
– Registration fee per person is 300 HRK (included in above-mentioned program)
– Anyone can apply that is 18+ (if there are younger applicants, they must be present with adults)
– Boat (type and size) has no restrictions
– Fishing tools: Peškafondo, fish from the boat
– The winner is the team with the most points – the total number of points from the first and second day
– You can only catch squid, all other catches will not be valid for points
– The distance between the boat must be at least 50 m, no boat connection allowed!
– The organizer removes any responsibility from the potential consequences of the competitor or other person or property!
