Stari Grad Celebrates 2400 Years with More Exhibitions and a Rich Program of Entertainment, Tonight

As part of the program for the central celebration of Stari Grad’s 2400 years of foundation, an exhibition will take place in the lobby of the Concert-Theatre hall located at Novo Riva 5 in Stari Grad.

Today, Thursday September 8 at 18h, an exhibition of model ships will be presented as part of Stari Grad’s 2400 year celebration.

 

The exhibitors that will present their model ships are Luka Fredotović, Vinko Palarić, Antun Milašić and Andro Tadić.

 

This exhibition will be open through Sunday, September 11 from 17h to 21h.

 

The program for tonight’s festivities are also rich in entertainment, with the Repasaž Jazz Quartet taking all party patrons into the late of night.

Thursday, September 8

9.30 – 14.00 International conference Pharos and Stari Grad Plain [Town Library and Reading Room]

14.00 Presentation of the book “Pharos: the establishment of the ancient city” [Town Library and Reading Room]

20:00 – 22:00 Days of the open decks: socialising with crews participating at the Festival of the sea and sailors Days in the Bay

23.00 – 02.00 Repasaž Jazz Quartet [Sailor’s Club]

 

The celebrations on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 for Stari Grad’s 2400 year long celebration will officially open the festivities, with events from concerts to lectures and much more.
