On June 11, Stari Grad is hosting a cycling event, Cycling Through History, to help celebrate the 2400 years of Stari Grad’s foundation!
Cycling Through History race will start in Stari Grad. The arena of the bike race is Stari Grad Plain – UNESCO Heritage, including the surrounding villages: Dol, Vrbanj, Svirče, Vrsnik and Pitve. This race will be held on more than 50 km making it adequate for professionals and recreationists.
The Tourist Board of Stari Grad explains that, “With the desire to become an important part of the tourist offer of the Island of Hvar and one of the main motives of the further development of cyclo-tourist segment, Cycling through History is a unique tourist product on the Island because it includes recreation and exploration of the cultural heritage.”
