After a period of ten years in the doldrums, it would appear that UK interest in property buying in Croatia is back. Leading UK property show A Place in the Sun was on the island last month for the first time, recording a show for their new series.
We were delighted to be invited to take part in the show and spent half an hour filming at Me and mrs Jones in Jelsa, bringing the production team out of Hvar Town to portray a bit more of the island. At the time, the team estimated that the show would go out in the next year sometime, but it appears that they liked what they saw on their two weeks on Hvar, for it has been chosen as the first episode of the new series, and it will air on Thursday, October 8, at 16:00, according to the Channel 4 schedule.
A one-hour special, which will include house hunting in Hvar Town, Brusje, Stari Grad and Vrboska, as well as interviews in Jelsa and Vrbanj. It should be an interesting show and for those of you who are missing Hvar in the UK, or are interested in the property scene, a must watch.
