Jelsa has various legendary residents, such as The Professor and Andro Tomic, but only one superhero – Lavanderman.
Not many people could get away with driving around town on a white Vespa with a lavender leotard and yellow cape, but Croatia’s favourite superhero pulls it all off with style, picking up quite a few ladies in the process.
The seventh edition of the cult hit Lavanderman comic is now out, and you can pick up a copy as well as all your other Lavandermen souvenirs at Dalmacijaland gallery in the old town of Jelsa, close to Villa Verde and Restaurant Pelago.
A good time to go would be on Saturday night, as the comic’s main graphic artist, Damir Ercegovic will be there for the opening of the latest exhibition in the Dalmacijaland summer, showcasing his original comic creations. Kick off 21:00. The exhibition runs until September 30.
