A very international press gathering on Hvar next week.
One cannot fault the Hvar Wine Assocation for its efforts to promote the island’s wines, and the increased international profile of Hvar winemakers has been due in part to the excellent efforts to promote the island’s wines at every opportunity.
The next opportunity to make a truly international impression will take place next week, as the wine association hosts wine journalists from no less than 18 countries – including some from as far away as Russia and Indonesia – on a 24-hour tour of some of the finest quality of the Hvar wine scene.
The journalists – who are from Germany, Poland, Austria, Finland, Switzerland, Hungary, Russia, Spain, Luxemburg, UK, Israel, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Serbia, Denmark, Macedonia and Indonesia, as well as Croatia – are visiting Hvar, Brac and Imotski on a three-day tour ahead of Zagreb Vinocom, which takes place on November 28-29 this year. Their Hvar tour will include a welcome at Tomic with dinner on November, breakfast at Pinjata in Vrboska, a tour of the vineyards of Ivan Dolac and tasting with Zlatan, followed by a tour of Svirce and lunch hosted by PZ Svirce, before heading off to Sucuraj.
It promises to be a fascinating tour, and one more great promotion of the Hvar wine scene. Full itinerary in Croatian below:
