Villa Verde in Jelsa is back! And Saturday night promises to be very chilled…
Please don’t tell him, but Dr. Mice Gamulin is one of my Hvar heroes.
A supremely cultured man and expert on the Stari Grad Plain UNESCO zone, Mice has probably the best sense of humour I have come across in a local here, and he is a very enthusiastic cocktail maker (for enthusiastic, do not necessarily mean good…).
He is also the owner of one of the island’s treasures, Villa Verde, which is now open for the season in the old town of Jelsa. Its leafy and relaxed interior has been a favourite of mine, since I went there on a date with The Boss in 2003. And this Saturday promises to be a very chilled affair with Repassage Gypsy Jazz from Split calling the tunes from 22:00.
