Toto’s on Palmizana, a waterfront restaurant with an extremely good value wine list.
Last year we named Andro Tomic as our choice at best business on Hvar, with ten reasons to back up the decision. Apart from the island’s premier wine tasting experience in his Romanesque cellars and the quality of the wine, the distribution of Tomic wines in bars and restaurants around the country is quite astonishing, and you can now find Tomic on wine lists in more than 500 bars and restaurants throughout Croatia.
One of the most popular is his excellent white wine, Beleca, which is a blend of posip and bogdanusa (learn more about it here), and as I speak to lots of different restaurant owners as part of my Total Hvar rounds, I was looking for something to compare prices, and so I came up with a very simple one:

My findings were very interesting. Some exclusive restaurants had very reasonable Beleca pricing, others which were far less fancy and were charging a lot more. I am not going to mention any prices from my research, except to announce the winner for the best value I have encountered as part of my research. And I was very surprised. Not only was it the cheapest, but it was the cheapest by quite some distance.
