People are rather strange, when Jugo is in the air in Jelsa (and probably in whole Dalmatia). Jugo is the warmer southern wind, which brings clouds and rain and makes the temperature rise, but gives locals severe headaches. As I am not a local, I feel free to enjoy Jugo. I love the warm sea air and rain.
For 2 days now, the skies are covered with heavy clouds, with an occasional ray of sunshine coming through. One would easily think, rain will come any minute now. But it won´t. “Until the wind is strong enough, there will be no rain”, says every local if you ask him. It is beautiful.
For everyone, who is sensitive to weather, it must be really hard to cope with 2-3 days of low-pressure atmosphere. No wonder, people are waiting for Bura to clear it all up.
As I write these lines, I can hear the rain is finally here. It might stop soon, but the clouds should remain for the coming days, no Bura in sight.
