Organised by the Library of Hvar town, the 5th Hvar in Winter Photo Contest took place this year, informs Otok-Hvar.com. Locals and visitors of the island, both can participate in making and choosing the most beautiful photo of the island in winter months. The competition starts in mid December and lasts for a month, when photos are collected to be displayed in an exhibition. Visitors can then vote for their favourite one.

40 authors participated this year and 86 photographs were selected for the exhibition, which took place at the Hvar Loggia from February 1 for a week. Here are the best 3 photos and their authors:
