Will there be any Tomic wine left for us mere mortals to drink? More prestigious wine drinking for Jelsa’s charismatic winemaker.
I am beginning to worry that there will be nothng left to drink at the Tomic winery this summer…
Of all the people I blog for, no client is easier than Andro. He can create newsworthy stories just by walking down the street, and his charisma and excellent wines have certainly helped in the promotion of the Hvar wine scene nationally, as well as internationally.
As we reported recently, two of his wines were served at the inauguration of the new President of Croatia less than two weeks ago, and this was followed by his wines on offer both at Jelsa seaport and the opening of the new road, when Prime Minister Milanovic arrived last week.
But Andro is also a man of huge culture, and it must therefore be very satisfying to learn that his excellent Plavac was also served recently at the UK National Theatre in London, after the premiere of 3 Winters, a play based on a drama by young Croatian author Tena Štivičić. More info on the play here, and if you want to get hold of some Tomic wines before all the presidents, prime ministers and national theatres drink the lot, visit the Bastijana website and get tasting!
