The wines of Zlatan Plenkovic from Sveta Nedjelja are world famous and exported around the world. As we have previously reported, he is the deserved winner of many awards, including best Croatian white wine at the prestigious Decanter awards at last year’s London Wine Trade Fair, while his Grand Cru is one of the great wines of the world.
There is much more to Zlatan Otok than wine, however, and the influence and positive change to the village of Sveta Nedjelja is plain for all to see. A stunning waterfront restaurant with underwater cellar, a jetty for sailors to take refuge on the spectacular southern coast, and some quality apartments thrown in as well. In their own words:
“In the Marina, but a few paces from the hotel, you will find the Bilo Idro restaurant, where exquisite seafood, meat specialties, salads and deserts are offered between May 15th and October 15th. Here, you can also taste and purchase our wines.
The restaurant is open from 9.00 am till 01.00 am. Guests can also choose from a sea pool live crabs and lobsters who will be cooked by using best Dalmatian recipes.
We have a unique under sea wine cellar with a submarine window view where we keep our archive wines and where we can organise wine degustations.
Vessels up to 18m in length, with a draught of up to 4m may dock in the Marina.
