PLANČIĆ WINERY
Wine production in the Plančić family first began in 1919 with the arrival of Ante Plančić (the grandfather) from Stari Grad in Svirče. The Plančić family then started their modern wine production in 1985 when they produced Bogdanuša (white) and Opolo (rose) which won medals at the International Wine Exhibition in Novi Sad in 1986. The concept of Plančić’s winemaking is based solely on the production of wines that originate from indigenous Hvar grape varieties: Bogdanuša, Parč and Mekuja (white wines), and Darnekuša and Plavac Mali (rose and red wines).
