Sinj Alka Candidates Chosen Tomorrow

Having only trained in the fields of Sinj, the candidates for this year’s Sinj Alka competition will be presented tomorrow at the official racetrack in Sinj for the first time this year.

Mr. Ante Vučić, the grand duke of the Sinj Alka, will choose which candidates will begin to train at the Hippodrome tomorrow at 17h.

 

After the choosing, a priest from Sinj will bestow the blessings of God to prove a successful 301st Alkarska competition.

 

Ivica Filipovića Grčića has said that the first part of the preparations went very well, and the trainings for tomorrow and Friday will be without a saddle.

 

The Alka beings on Monday, July 18th at 18h.
