12 Agrokor Brands Among the Top 50 Food Brands in Croatia

Croatian company Zvijezda, who just celebrated 100 years of existence and Jamnica, which has been around since 1828, are in the top 3 strongest brands among Croatian consumers, confirmed latest by BRANDscore and independent market research agency Ipsos, reports Poslovni Dnevnik.

That domestic consumers appreciate tradition, quality, and domestic products are definitely found in the results from the research where Zvijezda oil, Jamnica mineral water, Zvijezda mayonnaise and Zvijezda margarine firmly hold high positions in the top 10 brands in Croatia.


In addition, 12 Agrokor brands are among the top 50 in Croatia. These are Zvijezda oil, Zvijezda mayonnaise, Zvijezda hard margarine, Margo margarine spread, Zvijezda pickled vegetables, Jamnica, Jana and Jamnica Sensation, Ledo frozen fish and seafood, Ledo frozen vegetables, Ledo frozen pastry and sweets and ABC cheese.


Looking at the results by category, ABC cream cheese is a natural product and the only cream cheese, which consists only of three ingredients, and Ledo just this year launched 44 new ice creams, with their frozen fish and seafood, frozen vegetables, and frozen pastry and sweets not surprisingly at number 1 in their categories.


Jamnica has been around since 1828, and as Croatians like traditions, many prefer it as the best among carbonated mineral waters. The younger generations who prefer flavored mineral water are delighted to have Jamnica Sensation, which is their very best. Jana is still the best natural mineral water, and number one in their category.


Noteworthy culinary delights are PIK mortadella which is harvested according to traditional Italian recipes, and even five Zvijezda products are among the top 50 brands in Croatia.


This year’s survey, which covered 1,383 brands on the Croatian market within 69 FMCG categories, confirmed consumer loyalty to domestic brands, primarily because of the quality and uniqueness of the product, as well as long-standing traditions with following world trends.
