Two gold and one bronze medal at the 2015 International Chocolate Awards in London
Croatian ice cream and coffee brand Gustolato swept the London International Chocolate Awards, one of the leading competitions of its type in the world, winning two gold and one bronze medals.
Gustolato was awarded the first gold medal in the category Unflavoured milk chocolate cremino for their Granduja Cremino classico Nocciola Piemonte made out of milk and white chocolate and natural cocoa butter. Second gold medal was awarded in the category Spreads with dark chocolate (no milk powder) for their delectable Greek pistaccio spread made with chocolate from Equador, natural cocoa butter and containing no less than 50% of pistaccio.
Bronze medal was awarded to Gustolato in the White chocolate dragees, enrobed whole nuts for their Sicilian almonds covered in white chocolate and enriched with Istrian saffron.
Gustolato won awards in every category in which it was nominated, and considering that more than 800 companies from all 5 continents were nominated, this is an exceptional achievement. Gustolato is no stranger to international awards, this company also won one gold and two silver medals back in April at the International Chocolate Awards in Florence, Italy.
“This award is a fantastic recognition for our plant in Istria where we create a world class product using top notch international and local ingredients. Our recent international successes have inspired us to expand our current operations so, along with 5 existing stores in Istria and Varaždin, we are about to open our first store in Zagreb. But we won’t stop there, we’ll tackle the international market too by opening our first store in Budapest” said Dino Traverso, director of Dream Lab, company that owns the Gustolato brand.
