Great opportunity for hospitality and catering staff to sharpen their skills
Association of Chefs of Mediterranean and European Regions (SKMER / ACMER), in cooperation with the City of Makarska, Tourist Board Makarska and Hotel Meteor are organising an event Grand Gourmet 2015, starting November 3, 2015 in Makarska until November 8.
This gastro and gourmet festival is also an international competition of waiters, bartenders and restaurants with individual international competitions and special competition for waiter – chef teams where some of Croatia’s best restaurants will compete for the best team title. All attendees, and participation is free for all of those who applied on time, will be able to learn the best ways to present the magic of fine coffee making and latte art, the proper ways to present and serve tea, innovative ways to create cocktail decorations, attend a cigar academy and how to use healing green clay in gastronomy.
Grand Gourmet 2015 Makarska has also paid special attention to all hospitality and catering high – schools in the region, they will also be able to attend presentations, workshops and training sessions and present their skills during afternoon competitions.
The main objective of Grand Gourmet 2015 is to promote, educate and train catering and hospitality staff to enable them to provide excellent service, advance their skills, present new breakthrough restaurants on the Croatian gastro scene and above all brand the city of Makarska as an all-year catering and hospitality excellence destination.
