It’s time for Croatia Boat Show to again become one of the ten leading boat fairs in the world, said its director Vicenco Blagaić
The 20th edition of the Croatia Boat Show opened on the Western Quay in Split on Wednesday at noon, reports Morski on April 11, 2018. The jubilee edition of the international fair features more than 300 exhibitors from all domains of nautical industry.
The boat show was opened by the Secretary of State for Tourism Frano Matušić, who called nautical tourism one of the most competitive products of Croatia which highlights the most beautiful feature of the country – the Adriatic Sea.
The opening ceremony took place at the Yacht Club, hosted by a ferry moored next to the Western Quay. Vicenco Blagaić, the founder and director of the Croatia Boat Show addressed the guests, calling the city of Split a centre of the nautical world. After several years of stagnation, the crisis has come to an end, said Blagaić and reiterated the fair is hosting some 150 vessels this year.
According to Blagaić, the fair is about to rejoin the ranks of the ten leading boat shows in the world. A contract signed with the City of Split has ensured the Croatia Boat Show will keep taking place at the Western Quay for the next five years, aiming to drive further development of tourism in Split-Dalmatia County – the fastest-growing nautical destination in Croatia.
