Wondering where to spend the opening night of the legendary Dubrovnik Summer Festival in a few days? Look no further…
Meteorologists are announcing a powerful heat wave in the coming days, artists keep promoting their programmes despite. The whole of Croatia has been waiting for the spectacular evening of July 10th, 2017, the opening night of the City of Dubrovnik’s most important cultural event, the 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Traditionally, the ceremony is followed by wonderful fireworks launched from barges anchored in the sea in front of the Old City.
There are a number of places where you can spend a very nice time that night. But, with the threatening heat in mind, a beach pops up as the most appealing idea. In that, is there a better place than the Banje Beach, a hundred meters off the City Walls and just about 200m from the fireworks? Hardly.
You can as well spend the whole day on the beach basking in the sun, with cold drinks, refreshments and indulging in various activities on the water. But for this special and colourful evening, you need to look no more!
Banje Beach Restaurant offers excellent food, selected drinks and a sincerely devoted set of staff. Close your eyes and add the view of the Old City ramparts lit up in millions of colours of the incredible fireworks, their reflection in the sparkling Adriatic sea right at your eye level… well, could you really ask for more?
